Camp at a glance

 
  • Ages: 
    • 8-17 years
    • 5-7 years (with Parent supervision)
  • Parent attendance: parents are welcome to attend and required to stay with children under 8 years
  • Drop-off / pick-up: 10:30am Monday 29th June - 1:00pm Wednesday 1st July
  • Accommodation: Cabins Sleep 4 children and will be assigned to children of same gender and simiar age.  Unless family requests sibling to be bunked together.  Friends will be assigned same cabins where possible.
  • Food: all meals + snacks (dietary needs supported via paticipant information form)
  • Capacity: 40 children
  • Supervision Ratio: 1:10

NATURE ACTIVITIES

(5+ years)

Nature activities invites you through a guided tour of Australia’s one and only bush, hike up to Boulder Mountain, learn survival skills and explore the mysteries of the creek.

RING TAIL & MID ROPES

(8+ Years) 

A natural ropes course for all ages, for junior campers a ringtail course and a 7-metre mid ropes course through the treetops.

For campers aged 10 and up challenge yourself on a 10-15 metre high treetops course.

ROPE ACTIVITIES

(8+ YEARS)

Climb your way up onto a 7-metre ladder and test yourself with a Leap of Faith and also pull your teammates up onto a Giant Swing! 

OTHER  POSSIBLE  ACTIVITIES

Your child will take part in 8 different activities over the 3 days. 

Important Note for Younger Campers: Children under 8 years: Some activities listed above may not be suitable for safety reasons. Don't worry - we'll organise equally exciting alternate activities specifically designed for our younger adventurers to ensure everyone has an amazing time!

 

Most of the listed activities below all ages should be able to participate but groups will be split in consideration of age groups. Professional discernment will be used on the day. 

Activities

☀️ Pool Sports - Try a fun range of pool games and competitions in their 25m saltwater pool. 

🏹 Archery - Learn how to hit the bullseye, using blunt aluminium point arrows. Draw and let your arrow fly! 

🪵 Team Building Activities - Working as a team, learn the skills to work cooperatively with your fellow campers. Combine creativity and skill through activities like building working catapults, crossable bridges and moving buggies

📡 Radio Rogaining - Learn first hand navigational experience where campers combine teamwork and use UHF radios and a map to guide their way. 

🌲 Survival Skills - Learn important bush survival skills to survive in the wild, learn about native plants and animals, create a bush shelter and make some delicious damper. 

🥇 Personal Development and Sports - Develop your leadership and team skills through a series of activities that gets you involved with your fellow campers. Implement negotiation skills, time-management and communication. 

⛰️Challenge Trail - Navigate the forest blindfolded! Guide you and your team through the elements as you follow a trail relying on senses other than eyesight. 

🏹 Camp Creative - Unleash your inner creative through the art mediums and express yourself this camp. 

 

 

 

Safety & Supervision

Your child's safety and wellbeing are our top priority.
 
  • Qualified supervision: Camp supervisors are verified and inducted into MHC camp procedures.
  • Clear supervision structure: We use supervision zones and regular headcounts.
  • First aid readiness: All supervisors hold First Aid Training 
  • Medication management: Medication is stored securely and administered only with written parent permission and clear instructions.
  • Emergency readiness: We follow venue emergency procedures and have an emergency response plan for camp.

Rachel Gibson
Camp Coordinator


Rachel has over 20 years’ experience working with children and is an AMI-trained Montessori teacher. She will be on site for the full camp, leading supervision and supporting children to feel safe, settled, and confident as they enjoy the adventure activities.

Maria Briones
Camp Supervisor


Maria is an experienced support worker who has worked with children for many years and has supervised at MHC camps previously. She has a beautiful way with children and connects with them quickly, helping them feel safe, included, and confident throughout camp.

Ava Messina
Camp Supervisor


Ava has been working on Montessori camps since 2019 and is an experienced support worker. She has supported children as a class assistant and also runs social sessions that help children build confidence and connection. Ava has experience supporting children with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and anxiety, and brings a calm, steady presence to camp.

Ethan Messina
Camp Supervisor


Ethan is an experienced support worker who has worked with children for many years and has supervised at MHC camps previously. He brings a calm, supportive, grounding presence and is a wonderful mentor for our boys and young men at camp, helping them feel settled, capable, and included.

Clearances: Blue Card verified.
First Aid & CPR: current.

How booking works 

 
After booking, you’ll receive an email with a login to our Camp Portal, where you can access your Info Pack, submit required forms, and find all camp updates in one place.

 

Forms & Important information

To keep camp safe and well organised, we collect essential information before camp.

In the Camp Portal:

  • The Initial Info Pack
  • Link to the Participant Information Form (medical, consent, dietary)
  • The Maranatha waiver form

Forms due: 8 June (3 weeks prior to camp)
Please complete all required forms by this date so we can finalise supervision, medical planning, and activity groups.

Two weeks before camp 15 June (added to the portal):

  • Full Info Pack, including:
    • Activity group allocations
    • Cabin allocations
    • Menu
    • Itinerary
    • Drop-off and pick-up procedures

Updates:
Any updates or changes will be added to the Camp Portal, so you always have the latest information.
